ApprenticeshipQ – MAINSTREAMING PROCEDURES FOR QUALITY APPRENTICESHIPS IN EDUCATIONAL ORGANISATIONS AND ENTERPRISES

The purpose of the Apprenticeship Q research project is to provide a clear guideline for the quality management of practice units in higher professional education. Currently, there is no procedure that would allow European universities and educational institutions to compare and adapt their internal quality assurance systems. However, this is necessary to guarantee the quality standards for practice units in higher professional education.

To create a substantial database, workshops are planned in six countries with more than 300 quality management experts, entrepreneurs and education experts. In addition, field tests will be held with more than 300 employers, quality managers, trainers, teachers and educational institutions. In addition, 1200 employers, quality management representatives, professors, teachers and trainers will be interviewed about the topic as part of an international survey. Through the participation of European chambers of commerce and associations of European institutions of higher education, the research project has the potential to improve processes in both companies and educational institutions.

One of the results of the project will be a handbook for small and medium-sized companies which will summarise the most important quality parameters for the practical phases of a dual training or dual study programme. It will contain instructions on how to use instruments, methods and tools to develop a common quality culture between companies and educational institutions.
