Future Skills
The competence model AIComp (Artificial Intelligence Competences) was developed by the NextEducation Research Collective of the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University as part of the two initiatives KI-Campus and KI-Campus Hub Baden-Württemberg (www.nexteducation.org). It is based on an empirical study in which over 1,600 employees in Baden-Württemberg were asked about the requirements resulting from the increasing penetration of artificial intelligence in the world of work and life (www.ai-comp.org). The AIComp model is designed as a competence structure model that divides individual competences into competence fields, which in turn are subdivided into competence areas. The development of AIComp is based on an approach in which competencies are defined as dispositions to act. This approach goes beyond purely instrumental application skills and forms the basis for the empirical construction of the future skills required in an AI-permeated living and working environment.
