Julia Marcia Mann

Julia Marcia Mann is a research assistant at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in the Department of Educational Management and Lifelong Learning and a member of the NextEducation Research Group.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in a program with a focus on education, she completed her master’s degree in Media and Communication, specializing in innovation, marketing, management, and e-learning, at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences. In her master’s thesis, she investigated how generative artificial intelligence can support coaching and self-directed learning, and developed a prototype AI assistant for this purpose. Her professional career has taken her to the Institute for Educational Management and Educational Technologies at the University of St. Gallen, as well as to the field of learning and development.

Her research focuses on the development and analysis of AI-supported learning and support formats in higher education and continuing education.
